Chameleon ID, Inc., was formed in 2006 to provide consumers and businesses with a new, convenient application that combines a point-of-sale and on-line electronic payment system with a new electronic content system—all on one standard wallet card, and all absolutely secured by the user’s thumb-print.
Addressing privacy concerns, the thumb-print is scanned and stored only in the user’s own device, and not in a central data-bank outside the user’s control.
Frank Smith developed the Chameleon ID technology and submitted it for U. S. Patent protection in 1996, which was granted in 2000. Since that time, the evolution of electronic commerce has outpaced security measures, with consumers and businesses being victimized by fraud and unauthorized intrusions on a daily basis.
This climate inspired the principals of Chameleon ID, Inc. Our mission is to introduce a patent of immediate relevance and use to the electronics industry; to develop and extend the patent’s technology; and to create innovations which will ensure the security of financial transactions as well as the security of confidential information/media.
Chameleon ID, Inc., is poised for introduction into today’s information and interactive technologies: we are the future of electronic security.
